August For The Windows 2026

It’s nearly that time of year again where the retro streaming community comes together to celebrate Windows 9x games, that is games for Windows 95, 98 and i guess ME (as far as I know there are no ME exclusive games). The event organiser is the excellent streamer of retro goodness Sakkra so check them out if this kind of thing is your jam! Event links below.

About

Hi my name is William!

I’m a freelance graphic designer, illustrator and web designer based in the North East of the UK.

I’ve a BA Hons in Graphic Design from Middlesex University (Cathill). In addition to an Art Foundation specialising in Graphic Media from Bournville Centre for Visual Arts (Birmingham City University).

I have 14 years of experience as a Senior Graphic Designer in the industry. Working in the fields of technical design, video production/editing, 3D design, layout design, illustration, logo design, branding, print production, garment printing, advertising and web design. I’m skilled with the use of many industry standard tools such as Adobe’s Creative Suite; Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, as well as DaVinci Resolve, Blender, OBS Studio and Quark Xpress. I have knowledge in the creation, production and management of both digital and printed media projects.

I also have experience with systems and software used in a variety of niche and legacy CAD/CAM processes. These include laser/profile cutting, embroidery digitizing, vinyl transfer design and silkscreen printing. If you’re interested in my services or have an enquiry the details to reach me can be found on my contact page. A selection of work from my portfolio is also available to view.

In my own time I love to create digital and traditional illustrations, including but not limited to pixel art, vectors, paintings, sketches and 3D models. I sometimes post them to instagram or other socials. I’m a drummer and amateur music maker. I also create my own websites and experiences using PHP, CSS, HTML, JavaScript and node.js. Check out GameGet a node app I made for streamers.

I’ve been fascinated with computers since I was young. Their ability to combine graphics, sound and interactivity to create such an immersive experience is what inspired me to take up a career in the digital creative arts. That and I think they are just the coolest.

Currently I’m enjoying using the programs Unity, Aseprite and Blender in order to create my own games and experiences. I also build retro computers and tinker with old hardware, which I then use to live stream classic video games on twitch. My past broadcasts can be viewed on my youtube achieve.

So if any of that piques your interest there might be some thing here in my blog for you.

Welcome to the scratch disk of my brain!
